The “TMCQ”: Identified?

In the previous post, I mentioned the Sacred Cubit. It remains a neglected unit, probably for lack of certainty, but we might just have an important discovery on our hands.

I work with a Sacred Cubit of 2.091411007 ft = 25.09693208 inches.

This is based on Newton’s observations and figures. On examination, his Sacred Cubit and Royal Cubit have a ratio of about 1.213~, which inspired the generation of a Sacred Cubit of Royal Cubit 1.718873385 x Remen 1.216733603 = 2.091411007.

Some sources do not bother to distinguish between a Palestinian Cubit (I use mainly 2.107038476 feet for this) and a Sacred Cubit, but it has already been demonstracted mathematically that they are quite plausibly two distinct units.

2.091411007 turned out to have surprising geodetic properties for something that originated as an almost arbitrary “hodge-podge” of the two primary ancient Egyptian units (Remen and Royal Cubit).

2.091411007 x (2 Pi) = 131407229.1 / 10^n, which is the value I have for the earth’s mean circumference in feet.

I have long suspected that some of the common square roots from “Munck’s” math may have served as metrological units, something we see evidence of in numerous places including Egypt and inevitably in the Megalithic landscape as well.

Once again I am indebted to Peter Harris (as in Harris-Stockdale Megalithic Yard or “HSMF”) and his paper Visions of Time for bringing to my attention that Professor Thom reported finding a unit of measure at Mid Clythe, which I therefore refer to as the “Thom Mid Clyth Quantum” or “TMCQ”.

The essential book by Harris and Stockdale. Check with Northern Earth Books to make sure you’re getting the best price.

Visions of Time: “Then at Mid-Clyth he found a new quantum of 7.743 feet which may have been 20 MY divided into 7 parts of 7.77 feet”

I have identified this unit as quite likely being sqrt 60 feet = 7.745966692 ft, which might help to establish the legitimacy of the unit at least that far back (remember how Munck always told us that the square roots of 15 and 60 were of great significance at Stonehenge. He never said all that much about Stonehenge but I believe over 80% of it if not all of it to be correct).

This doesn’t tell us what the ancient Egyptians referred to it as.

However, it may really be quite simple. All we need to do is stop neglecting the Sacred Cubit, which is itself a square root of a whole number (sqrt 43740 = 209.1411007), and observe the relationship

100 Sacred Cubits 209.1411007 ft / (54 / 2) = Mid Clyth Quantum = sqrt 60 = 7.745966692.

Thus we would have yet another ancient Megalithic unit of measure which also appeared in ancient Egypt.

The same thing has happened with the Pied du Roi / Hashimi Cubit which appears to be a direct derivative of the Egyptian Royal Foot, although it’s often useful to use the Hashimi Cubit value rather than the Egyptian Royal Foot value.

The mystery unit 1.676727943 is currently under suspicion of being a variant of a derivative of the Sacred Cubit.

That is, 2.091411007 / 1.673128806 = 1.25

It is not yet known if 1.676727943 and 1.673128806 can be successfully charted together in the current metrological tables, but their ratio 1.676727943 / 1.673128806 = 1.002151142 is a critical link between units that is used in the tables (as is the square of 1.002151142).

The most recent posted version of the tables:

I hope things are just as they appear – that we continue to close in on the true roots of ancient metrology.
