There are perhaps several things for now that deserve mention, that I opted to leave out of the last post for the sake of tidiness.
Concerning the “false square root pair” complement to the suggested “virtual” diagonal value 268.3798532 ft, 72000 / 268.3798532 = 268.2764714.
To be honest, I’m still learning about what 268.3798532 might be dong there, and still haven’t really had the opportunity to properly explore what 268.2764714 is or what it might be doing there.
One way of describing 268.2764714 is as “‘The Sunhoney Number’ / Pi^4”, which may provide a clue into its usefulness since the “Sunhoney Number” is fairly remarkable when exposed to (2 Pi)^n and reveals a procession of astronomical values seemingly enshrined as established “Old World” metrological units.
Already then 268.2764714 has accumulated at least one significant alias, suggesting it may be something other than an incidental figure or random noise.
As a matter of fact, upon further research, this number was probably introduced by Munck himself a long time ago, as the valid number of second of longitude in his coordinates for Tikal’s temple pyramids (Temple II’s longitude according to Munck: 120° 45′ 26.8276471” W). Michael Morton and I both wrestled with this mystery number on occasion so there is likely something of a pre-existing dossier that might be compiled from various efforts if they can be located.
Because of some similarities to the El Tajin pyramid, I’m curious if the Chichen Itza El Castillo pyramid also contains a particular number. The number is actually missing from my diagram of the El Tajin pyramid but appears in an annotated version of Grijalba’s diagram.
The Pyramid of Niches at El Tajin, Veracruz, Mexico. Plan by Victor Rivera Grijalba.
At the right of the stairs we see 3.40 m = 11.15485564 ft, which looks remarkably like the important but often less-mentioned valid number 11.15419203
268.3798532 x 11.15419203 = 2993.562348
299.3562348 x 1.333333333 = 399.1314893, currently the A value for the Jupiter Synodic Period of about 398.88 days, which it may remain for lack of other viable candidates for the JSP thus far.
Currently it is thought that the most useful representation of the Saturn Synodic Period of about 378.09 days may be 377.8020800 (1/8 of the Great Pyramid’s base perimeter).
One reason for saying so is that the Lunar (calendar) Year 353.9334591 x 1.067438159 = 377.8020800.
Curiously, it we divide the optimum value of the Greek Foot (12.16733603 in / 12 = 1.013944668 ft) by 268.3798532
1.013944668 / 268.3798532 = 377.8020806 / 10^n
Most remarkably, 1.013944668 times 268.3798532, or 377.8020806 x (268.3798532^2) = 2.721223215 x 10^n.
Thus we have already discovered a function of the square of 268.3798532, and that it may serve as the link between the most precise approximation of the Draconic Month (“textbook” value: 27.212220815 days) and the Saturn Synodic Period, which is quite a nice achievement for a “calendar pyramid”.
